What is Airy Li?

Airy Li carries the lightness of linen in its name, and the lightness I strive to keep in my heart - grateful, whatever life brings.

It is my journey, woven into fabric.

Born in Kyiv in 2018, Airy Li was inspired by my homeland, Crimea - a breathtaking peninsula in the South of Ukraine.

I've brought color combinations together, which mostly reminded me of Crimean landscapes and the unique nature I've seen around me every day. Later, every color and shape reflected a stage of life and were inspired by different corners of the world that life has brought me to.

Today, I continue the story in the UK, after a 2-year break. In the age of AI, generated content, and overconsumption, most of us are tired of chasing trends and big labels. I am.

Here you won't find aggressive marketing, ticking clocks, or experience FOMO. I'm here for you to help with colors, sizes, shapes, and other details. But not urging you to buy.

Airy Li always was and will be about:

  • Comfort, sustainability, and long-lasting natural goodness for you
  • No rush, overproduction, and overconsumption
  • Minimizing the waste
  • Respect for nature and people

With love,
Limara

What about the fabric cut-offs?

I’ve been sharing fabrics in Ukraine and would love to continue here in the UK.

NOTE: Cut-offs are usually small, irregularly shaped pieces of fabric, perfect for textile art, toy making, stuffing, and more.

Soooo, if you’re a UK-based maker or charity in need of linen, cotton, or wool cut-offs, I’d be glad to help as best I can.

If you’re looking for larger pieces, please check the ‘Fabrics on Sale’ section, which will be available soon.

*** Just drop me a message through the online Chat bubble with your details and specify your needs, and I’ll get back to you shortly.

Fabrics choice

OEKO-Tex certified

Linen

Though I don’t work only with linen, it is definitely my favourite. Beyond its beautifully soft, noble wrinkles, linen is also:

  • The most sustainable fabric
  • Strong and durable
  • Breathable and highly absorbent
  • Naturally cooling
  • Hypoallergenic and gentle on skin
  • Biodegradable
  • Softer with every wash

OEKO-Tex certified

Cotton

I sometimes use cotton flannel for cozy shirts and washed cotton for bedding when I can find certified and organic options.

Some of its benefits:

  • Natural and versatile
  • Soft and comfortable
  • Breathable
  • Good moisture absorption
  • Easy to care

Premium quality

Wool

The sheep remain happy and healthy throughout shearing, and we also benefit from the wool natural advantages:

  • Natural & renewable
  • Excellent insulation (warmth)
  • Moisture-wicking
  • Breathable & temperature-regulating
  • Odor-resistant
  • Fire-resistant
  • Durable and elastic
